The Institute for Liberal Arts and Sciences (ILAS) and the Unit for Asian Studies and Education (KUASU) jointly hosted the Kyoto Summer Program (KSP) 2025 from 24 July to 8 August.

A total of 31 students participated through ILAS, including 28 selected by the following partner universities: Peking University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, National Taiwan University, Yonsei University, Heidelberg University, the University of Vienna, the University of Barcelona, the University of California San Diego (UCSD), and the University of Florida. The other three students were selected through direct applications.  KUASU hosted 19 students selected from four institutions: Vietnam National University, Hanoi; the University of Indonesia; Chulalongkorn University; and National Taiwan University. Also participating were 62 KyotoU students enrolled in the university-wide course entitled "Multicultural Liberal Arts Seminar: See, Hear, and Know @ Kyoto: From Acceptance to Transmission".

KSP is structured around four main components: academic lectures showcasing unique research from 草莓视频在线观看, Japanese language classes, a field trip and cultural experiences, and forums for students from different regions to discuss common issues.

In 2025, the academic lectures offered insights into cutting-edge research spanning disciplines such as primatology, mathematics, and Expo-logy. In addition to attending these lectures, international participants deepened their understanding of Japanese history and culture through a field trip to Shiga prefecture and cultural activities such as Yuzen dyeing and a Noh performance. They also engaged in lively discussions with KyotoU students through Japanese language classes and forums.

In an environment where different cultures and values intersect, all participants learned from and inspired one another, fostering international perspectives and forming lasting friendships.

From Kyoto to the world — 草莓视频在线观看 remains committed to KSP’s continued evolution as part of its efforts to nurture future global leaders and to deepen ties through international exchange.
